Allan Ryan is an educator and facilitator who enables organisations, both in Australia and internationally, to deliver real competitive advantage through innovation. He works across all sectors, private and public, small and large, to ensure that accelerated performance and increased shareholder value are the results of an organisation's innovation effort.

Allan’s experience spans fast-moving consumer goods, building, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, paper industry, telecommunications, government and service companies. He provides consulting and coaching advice on organisation-wide growth and performance initiatives. 

His research, teaching and consulting work at both the Australian Technology Park in Sydney and Australian Graduate School of Management has resulted in the development of ‘The Quest for Growth’ Program, the Managed Innovation Organisation Audit, Dimensional Thinking, GATE ZERO^® methodology for new product development and the Five Star Meeting Program.

He is an accredited trainer in idea and innovation methodologies and is regularly sought after as a Keynote Speaker presenting ‘The Quest for Growth’ and its application to organisations, teams and individuals.

John Maclay joins MII as associate. John has operated at the executive level in the corporate and enterprise sectors. He is experienced in taking products to market, establishing new markets and with technology start-up companies. In these roles he has implemented innovative cultures that have turned the established businesses from returning a flat to declining business result to substantial growth through changing the basis of competition.

An extensive career with 3M where he rose to be regional Technical Director while General Manager of the Industrial Markets Sector, General Manager of Konica Photographics, CEO of Camera House (a co-operative retail chain) and COO of Fluorosolar Systems Ltd (a start up company).

He lectures and tutors at the graduate and post graduate level, on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity at the University of Adelaide and Business Management at the University of Western Sydney and in International Business Strategy at Macquarie University. He is an Adjunct Fellow at the University of Western Sydney’s Centre for Industry & Innovation Studies. An Accredited Associate of the Institute for Independent Business, an international network of business advisors that focuses on the enterprise sector with practical business advice that works. An Associate of the Creative Skills Training Council, an International Council that focuses on developing the skills within organizations that are associated with creativity and innovation. This background of practical innovation experience will be of value to our clients.
